The waee Center team participates in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) session and meets Jordan’s Ambassador in Geneva, Waleed Obaidat, waee
The team of the waee Center for Human Rights Training participated, as part of a civil society delegation, in Jordan’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) session before the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva on 25 January 2024, during which 101 countries presented their recommendations to Jordan, waee.
The delegation also met with Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ambassador Waleed Obaidat, as part of the civil society delegation participating in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) session. The meeting provided an opportunity for consultation between the government and civil society organizations on the UPR recommendations that had been issued, as well as the future vision for working together to strengthen the human rights framework in Jordan.
