Waee Center for Human Rights Training is an independent, non-profit civil society organization based in Amman, Jordan. Guided by our firm belief in the inherent dignity of every human being, we are committed to promoting and deepening the culture of human rights, strengthening legal and human rights awareness across society, and protecting and empowering the most vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Our Mission

To promote legal and human rights awareness among individuals and communities, advocate for the review and development of national legislation to ensure its compliance with international human rights standards, and strengthen the role of women and the media as key drivers of positive social change.

Our Vision

A society founded on justice and equality, in accordance with national and international standards, within a democratic environment.

Our Core Areas of Work

Monitoring and documenting human rights violations, and producing objective, specialized, and periodic reports.

Reviewing and analyzing national laws and regulations, providing recommendations, and advocating for their alignment with international human rights standards.

Enhancing legal and human rights awareness among all segments of society, with particular focus on women, children, migrant workers, refugees, marginalized and vulnerable groups, people without family support, and older persons.

 

Peace and Dialogue

Promoting the values of tolerance, peace, coexistence, and constructive dialogue among different religions and cultures.

Media Partnership

Strengthening the role of various media outlets as active and strategic partners in promoting human rights culture and advocating for community issues.

Women’s Political Empowerment

Enhancing women’s participation in political life and supporting their representation and influence in parliamentary, municipal, and local councils.
