Waee Center Releases Survey Findings on Women Lawyers’ Needs for Digital Empowerment and Legal Defense in Digital Violence Cases

The Waee Center for Human Rights Training has released the findings of a survey it conducted to assess women lawyers’ needs for technical training, digital empowerment, and legal capacity-building in digital violence cases, as well as to measure their exposure to digital violence risks. The survey targeted 921 women lawyers.

The results showed that 90.88% of participants expressed their desire to receive specialized training, while 73.62% indicated that they lacked sufficient knowledge of digital security and safety tools.

The results also showed that the highest level of need was for legal training on defense skills in digital violence cases, with 75.90% of participants identifying this as a priority, followed by technical training at 73.29%. Meanwhile, 57.65% expressed a need for greater technical awareness.
