The waee Center for Human Rights Training, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit at the Prime Ministry, held a specialized training course aimed at strengthening journalists’ legal culture on the Cybercrime Law and analyzing the recommendations of the Fourth Cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR 2024).

The course included an interactive session with the government team responsible for the UPR report and discussed the upcoming steps for implementing its recommendations. It also honored journalistic groups that published reports based on UPR recommendations on human rights, including: “Prison overcrowding in Jordan,” “Child marriage,” “Will the questioner be held accountable and will the tables turn?”, and “Cybercrimes pursue supporters of Gaza.”

At the end of the course, a legal team of lawyers was formed to defend press freedom, waee.
